A big part of scouting is camping and on camp we could be catering for anything between 10 and 70 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Young Leaders and Leaders whilst doing group camps. Also we as a group help at district events which can cater for up to 300 young people and adults. So a grant was made to Cheshire East Council for this reason to update our camping and catering equipment to help shelter and feed these enthusiastic lot. A total of £2,300 was donated, Thank You.
Taylor Wimpey North West kindly donated £500 to Wilson House Scouts towards a new mini bus. Thank You.
We held our Christmas Bingo and Raffle on Friday 6th December 2019, we thank all that attended, it was a fantastic turn out with some fantastic prizes, in all we raised £1,122 on the raffle and £600 on the Bingo. Thank You to all who bought a ticket and came to play Bingo that evening to help support Wilson House. Also a massive Thank You to all the local Company’s which donated prizes to the Raffle.

We Received a grant from Crewe Town Council in January 2019 to update our stock of very old sports equipment which some of the hockey sticks dated back 20+years. Mayor Brian Roberts also came to visit our Cub section and see the equipment being used. The equipment was bought from The Soccer Store based in Crewe.
The Crewe & Nantwich District Round Table made a very generous donation of £500 to Wilson House Scout Group in October 2018. This was to help buy sports equipment for the group which included soft play archery, hula hoops, slack line, Frisbee’s and much more. Thank You.
🎉🎉 Mums, Dads, Guardians & Friends – we have 4 bingos planned in for 2019 which help to raise funds to keep the group going and help with things like running the minibuses and subsidising activities and camps – the next one is Easter Bingo (29th March). If anyone is able to donate an Easter Egg/Easter item now they’ve hit the supermarket shelves that would be eggs-cellent 🤪 as these could go towards bingo prizes or on the tombola. Equally as always if anyone has any unwanted gifts, new unused items etc that are being donated or got rid of to clear space please consider Wilson House for our fundraising stock we are always trying to be one step ahead of each bingo prize and tombola wise! Any eggs/items can be dropped off at section nights to the leaders – thanks again everyone for your continued support 😊👍🏻
