The Great Indoors Weekender Sat 11th July 2020 to Sun 12th July 2020

Our Scouts will be taking part in The Great Indoors Weekender

Join the UK’s biggest digital summer camp from your living room (or garden, anywhere at home – it’s up to you) on 11–12 July. With surprise celebrity guests, cooking, crafts, music and more, young people (6+) will get the chance to have fun while learning skills like giving stuff a go, thinking for themselves, and playing their part.

Get involved. Build a base camp (whether it’s a tent under the stars or a duvet dragged under the stairs), connect with us on a mobile, tablet, or computer, and you’re all set. There’ll be activities you can complete in your own time as well as live events, including a UK-wide campfire.

Worried about missing your favourite TV show or a Zoom quiz with friends? Don’t. Dip in and out of the weekend as much as you like.

Cheshire East Council Grant

A big part of scouting is camping and on camp we could be catering for anything between 10 and 70 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Young Leaders and Leaders whilst doing group camps. Also we as a group help at district events which can cater for up to 300 young people and adults. So a grant was made to Cheshire East Council for this reason to update our camping and catering equipment to help shelter and feed these enthusiastic lot. A total of £2,300 was donated, Thank You.

Christmas Raffle/Bingo 2019

We held our Christmas Bingo and Raffle on Friday 6th December 2019, we thank all that attended, it was a fantastic turn out with some fantastic prizes, in all we raised £1,122 on the raffle and £600 on the Bingo. Thank You to all who bought a ticket and came to play Bingo that evening to help support Wilson House. Also a massive Thank You to all the local Company’s which donated prizes to the Raffle.

Donations Wanted!

🎉🎉 Mums, Dads, Guardians & Friends – we have 4 bingos planned in for 2019 which help to raise funds to keep the group going and help with things like running the minibuses and subsidising activities and camps – the next one is Easter Bingo (29th March). If anyone is able to donate an Easter Egg/Easter item now they’ve hit the supermarket shelves that would be eggs-cellent 🤪 as these could go towards bingo prizes or on the tombola. Equally as always if anyone has any unwanted gifts, new unused items etc that are being donated or got rid of to clear space please consider Wilson House for our fundraising stock we are always trying to be one step ahead of each bingo prize and tombola wise! Any eggs/items can be dropped off at section nights to the leaders – thanks again everyone for your continued support 😊👍🏻
